One question i get asked often is "can i rebuild my own diff" ?

Yes you can with common sense, a few tools and a little mechanical knowledge.

I recently came across this great instruction manual.

It gives excellent instructions on how to rebuild and setup any rear wheel drive crownwheel and pinion

The book covers topics on:

General rebuilding
Limited slip differentials
Aftermarket limited differential types (and explains about them)
Crownwheel and pinion gears and types
Ratios
Axle half shafts
Propshafts and universal joints
